9U Travel Baseball Registration is for those players born on or after 05/01/2014 and before 9/1/15.  This is advanced level baseball, not everyone who registers is guaranteed a spot on a roster, which will likely be limited to 12 players.  

In order to play Monroe Travel Baseball you must register for Monroe Little League.

Players who register for and make the team will be expected to sign a code of conduct and confirm that they understand in being offered a spot they will make this team a priority over other Spring obligations (i.e. lacrosse, soccer or any other spring sport).  

Tryouts will likely be conducted during the weekend of September 23rd or 30th, with a possible makeup date during the following week.

Registration fees for this team will be approximately $850.  Payments can be made in three installments, but the first installment must be paid upon acceptance of a spot on the team.

The team will practice twice per week during the winter (once at NYA in Newtown and once at D-Bat in Trumbull).  Other practices may be added as the schedule permits.  Practices will go from January to mid-March.

Teams will play in the East Shore Baseball League.  Games are typically doubleheaders on Sunday, but also potentially Saturday afternoons.  The team will also play in one tournament and in scrimmages set up by the manager.  

Registration cost includes - East Shore League fee,  umpires fees, full uniform (hat, 2 jerseys, 2 pants), practice tee shirt, sweatshirt/batting jacket.  We are presently attempting to secure periodc private instructions sessions for the team throughout the winter in lieu of a tournament as we've discovered that tournaments are not a productive exercise at this age.

Not included in registration costs - players' equipment, any additional Tournament fees, travel costs associated with playing in any games or tournaments, AAU registration (approximately $20 per player)

Please note: The amount of playing time is not guaranteed.  Playing time will be continually earned by hard work, practice attendance and performance in games. A player may participate in a particular game in some capacity, but playing time may not be equally distributed.
